Cupping
Cupping is an ancient treatment which was once used throughout Europe and the Arab world, but which is now mainly used in the Far East.
Cupping can be used to treat lung diseases and muscle and joint pains such as frozen shoulder and neck pain. It works to free up blockages deep inside the muscles. Cupping pulls bad blood to the surface of the body where it can be removed as waste. Bad blood is often the cause of pain as it blocks the free flow of energy in the body. When energy is blocked, blood stagnates and this is the cause of pain.
Cupping can also be used to diagnose health problems. Cupping marks will be purple in colour where a disease problem is most severe. By cupping down the sides of the back, it is possible to find out which body systems are out of balance. The cupping marks in these areas will be the most dark.
